Financing Your SLU Education


Our undergraduate scholarship programs recognize academic merit, financial need, Jesuit high school graduates, multiple sibling enrollees, aptitude and performance (athletics, the arts, etc.)


Additional financial aid programs include need-based grants, loan programs and work opportunities. Aid is available to eligible students at all levels of the University. In addition, some schools, colleges or programs may offer their opportunities, including the School of Law, School of Medicine, School for Professional Studies, and the Doisy College of Health Sciences.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

We try to make applying for financial aid at SLU both seamless and manageable for you and your family. Most of the process hinges on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is a free tool that calculates your student aid index (SAI). It’s required for need-based assistance or eligibility for low-interest loans. Saint Louis University's FAFSA school code is 002506.
